Let’s celebrate the World Smile Day, Friday, 7th October 2022 by giving more sincere Smiles, even to strangers and Spread Happiness and holistic well-being in the planet.
FYI, Smiling not only offers a mood boost but helps our bodies release cortisol and endorphins that provide numerous health benefits, like stress reduction, increasing endurance by enhancing immune system, reduce blood pressure and pains.
Facts & Figures:
First Friday of October month every year is celebrated as Smile Day acknowledging the efforts of Harvey Ball, a commercial artist from Worcester, Massachusetts created the smiley face in 1963. That image went on to become the most recognizable symbol of good will and good cheer on the planet.
Smiling activates tiny molecules in your brain that are designed to fend off stress. These molecules, called neuropeptides, facilitate communication between neurons in your brain. Also, when you smile, your brain releases dopamine, endorphins and serotonin, raising your energy levels for wellness.
When our brains feel happy, endorphins are produced and neuronal signals are transmitted to your facial muscles to trigger a smile. This is the start of the positive feedback loop of happiness.
Intentionally plan the day to boost public morale and inspire people to smile more often. 🙂
